About Brown Funeral Home

Brown Funeral Home is locally owned and operated. The funeral home was founded in September of 1972 by Robert M. and Mary C. Brown. Our location at College Street in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is the original building. It has increased in size, but still remains in the same location.

Our staff consists of four embalmers/funeral directors, three funeral directors and one part-time worker.

Robert M. Brown is the President of Brown Funeral Home. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1963. He is the son of the late Earl and Eugenia Brown and is married to Mary C. Thomas Brown who has been a licensed funeral director since 1977. She is the daughter of the late Lawrence and Agnes Thomas. They have five children and eight grandchildren.

Tommy Brown started working at the funeral home in 1996 and became a licensed funeral director in 1999. He is married to Amy and has a step-daughter. They reside in Rineyville.

Lora Brown Dixon began working in 1995 and became a licensed funeral director in 1998. She and her husband Timmy have one daughter.

Randall Newcom was licensed in 1978 as a funeral director and embalmer and started working for Brown Funeral Home in 1980. He is married to Belva.

Jonathon Nunn is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He lives in Cecilia with his wife Michelle and son Landyn.

Jeff Canary was licensed in 1990 as a funeral director and embalmer and started working for Brown Funeral Home in 1994. He and his wife Paula have two children and one grandchild.

Erdie Carter is our part-time employee. He is married to Donna and they have three children and four grandchildren.

Amanda Johnson is currently an apprentice. She is a graduate of Mid America College.
